apple orchard

Jim and I both grew up in small towns. I often think about how different Milo's childhood will be from ours not only because 30 years have passed and times change but because he is a city kid. He will experience more diversity, restaurants, museums, parks, crowds and noise than Jim and I ever did as children. This is the life we have chosen for him and we are all happy.

However, it is also very important to us that he knows where food comes from, that not all cows are black and white, and that there is so much that exists beyond the city limits.

We took a family trip out to All Seasons Apple Orchard this moring. We picked a peck of Honeycrisp apples, took a wagon ride, played in a pumpkin patch, met a goat, and thoroughly enjoyed the fresh air.
